Grainsense Oy, established in 2014 as a spin-off of VTT, aimed to convert traditional, bulky NearInfrared (NIR) spectroscopy lab equipment into a portable handheld format. Today we have three different product families from handheld devices to industrial measurement of flowing grain and several global patents protecting our underlying measurement and calibration intellectual property.

There are over 2100 GrainSense Analyzers in use in over 40 countries – enabling affordable, accurate and reliable instant quality monitoring across the value chain and the need to understand grain quality is going to grow with further enhancement of sustainability-related requirements in food production and grain value chain. Early monitoring of grain quality for any industry player, integration with a range of grain handling equipment and processes are the drivers for growth in upcoming years.

Software Developer

We are looking for a talented individual with a strong background in software development and an understanding of mathematical concepts.

Your main tasks are:

• To design, develop, and implement software solutions using a variety of programming languages, collaborating with company cross-functional teams.

We are looking for:

• Proficiency in common programming languages such as Python, C# and C and experience with one or more of the following programming languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Swift, Java, Kotlin.

• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL programming.

• Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.

• Mathematical skills, particularly in statistical methods, signal processing, and calibration models. Familiarity with MATLAB is considered an asset.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders also in English.
