A True Team Effort: GrainSense Celebrate CLAAS Project Success

Product development Project is never a solo journey; it’s built by people working together toward a shared goal. The integration of GrainSense’s patented grain analysis technology into CLAAS harvesters is a perfect example of what collaboration can achieve.  Jussi Helminen, one of the key technical experts in the project, expressed his pride in the achievement, noting that the team faced significant technical challenges but overcame them through determination and skill, making the experience truly remarkable.

The GrainSense product development project team extends warm thanks to every member of the GrainSense team, to our partners at CLAAS, and to our R&D collaborators for their significant contributions.  This was truly a team effort, combining expertise, creativity, and determination to overcome challenges and deliver a breakthrough solution that is available on the market as CLAAS Nutrimeter Grain, setting a new benchmark for harvesting technology.  Antti Leinonen, COO / Project Manager of the Project at GrainSense, reflected on the journey, saying that seeing the project succeed has been rewarding. He emphasized how seamless the collaboration with CLAAS was and how impressed he was by the depth of expertise their team brought to the table.

This success is more than technology! It’s proof of what a dedicated and skilled team can achieve. The GrainSense team worked tirelessly to overcome challenges, innovate, and deliver a solution that sets a new standard for harvesting, empowering farmers with real-time insights to make smarter decisions and maximize profitability.  “This is the first time a transmissive NIR sensor for kernel ingredient determination has been available on combine harvesters,” said Dr. Kari Jänkälä, CTO of GrainSense. “Compared to conventional methods, it offers clear advantages: continuous measurement, no sampling delays, and unmatched accuracy during harvest,” Kari highlighted.

The future of harvesting was unveiled at Agritechnica 2025 in Hannover, where CLAAS Nutrimeter Grain made its official debut.

Thank you to everyone who made this possible!
