GrainSense sponsoring the National Wheat Yield Contest
The National Wheat Foundation (NWF) is based in Washington D.C. and is a non-profit organization. Together with a board of directors, it is managed through the staff of the National Association of Wheat Growers. The foundation advances the wheat industry through a number of different activities: education, research, collaborations and outreach.
In February 2015, the National Wheat Foundation announced their first version of the National Wheat Yield Contest. This contest is aimed at helping wheat growers in the U.S. increase their own productivity, ultimately aiming at meeting the supply and quality of wheat raised in the U.S. to meet the both forigen and domestic demands in the wheat market. Since 2015, the contest has been growing in popularity.
Key insights on crop quality with the GrainSense Analyzer
GrainSense and the NWF foundation share several common values and it is our commitment to providing farmers with realtime quality data that led GrainSense to support and sponsor the current edition of the National Wheat Yield contest. GrainSense’s handheld NIR device can provide wheat growers key insights to their crops including both protein and moisture contents. Wheat growers across the U.S. are using the GrainSense Analyzer and have been able to make smarter and quicker decisions before, during and after the harvest season!
The entire GrainSense team is anxiously looking forward to the awards given at the National Wheat Yield Contest in March 2022 at the Commodity Classic hosted in New Orleans, USA.
